Following last year's appearance on R&S, Izan Hesse launches Social Sculpture Records with 'Sunday Mood'

Sunday Mood is Izan Hesse’s first solo release on Social Sculpture Records. It demonstrates a predilection for dense, broken rhythms, and the influence of IDM, industrial beats and late 90s techno.

Hesse covers a range of sounds and textures while drawing from the same dark palette, hiding a refined approach behind noise and unrelenting tension.

The title track ‘Sunday Mood’ combines broken beats with eerily hypnotic drones and the occasional burst of dreamy synths, while the ‘Rave at Night Version’ turns the original into something even more raw and militaristic.

‘Clouds’ is a New Beat inspired barrage of rattling percussion and gut-wrenching bass.

Final track ‘Does Not Matter’ is a change of tone, with its liquid breaks, powerful sub-bass and dreamlike textures providing some relief.
